Baseball Coaches

Coach Matt Standifer is in his third year at Mena as Head Baseball Coach and Defensive Coordinator. He also teaches 3^rd – 6^th Grade PE/Health. This is ninth year of coaching and is from Camden, AR. Coach Standifer graduated college from SAU in Magnolia. He and his wife Kim have two sons: Jackson, 19, and Jake, three.

Coach takes pride in being a Christian and loves taking his family to church. He enjoys spending time with family and traveling during my free time. He is a huge Arkansas Razorback and Atlanta Braves Fan!

Isaac Minton begins his coaching career at Mena as the Head Junior High Bearcat Basketball Coach, Assistant Senior High Bearcat Basketball Coach and Assistant Baseball Coach. Outside of his coaching duties he teaches 6^th – 8^th PE/Health and Wellness. Coach Minton is from Story, AR in Montgomery County. He graduated from college in the Spring of 2021 at Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia, AR with a Bachelor’s Degree in K-12 PE-Health and Wellness.

He is married to his lovely wife, Grace Minton, whom he met in his time spent in college in Magnolia, AR. She is from Magnolia, AR. He enjoys reading my books on Basketball Coaching legends he has obtained over the years, watching movies at home with his wife, phone calls/FaceTime calls with my niece, Poppy Jean, and just spending time with his family. Coach Minton adds, “All of my students and athletes and the impact I hope to have on them are why I became an Educator/Coach.”
